St. James is also referred to as the Platinum coast, the playground of the famous and wealthy. If you’re looking for the ideal area that is in close proximity to Holetown or Bridgetown, but still far enough from the hustle and bustle of both towns, Holders Hill is the spot for you. The ship Stavronikita, which is now submerged in 120 feet of water less than half a mile from the shore, was intentionally sunk in order to create the artificial reef that can be found at Folkestone Marine Park. Due to its depth, diving the Stavronikita is only advised for seasoned divers who are with other divers.
